"their mother, their brother, their sister, their lover..."
Does it make you feel weird when you hear me say "lover"? I certainly feel weird saying it.

But I'm skating around my point.
Bali
202
88.
I might be a huge dick. And you might think I'm a heartless bastard. But it ripped my heart out to see my people in pain.

A little bit of guilt should shut those pesky protesters up.
Will my political prowess ever cease?

and so then I said "Hey there Georgie Boy, we all know you're going to do it, so less yappin' more bombin'. Let the inevitable be over sooner so we can talk about something new."

Australia won't be involved in any war,
and I'm going to shut my stupid, big, fat, ugly mouth.

(wouldn't that be nice?)
(and can the unemployed boy who repeatedly tells me I'm copying some blogger journal please realise how dumb he sounds. Firstly, blogger is an inferior journalling site and I wouldn't go anywhere near it. But more to the point, this journal, (or some journal on blogger), is not the first, last, or only weak attempt at political satire and if I was copying anything, why would I choose to copy some other moron at a different blogging site with too much time on their hands.

I'm making a community.
It's not nearly done yet, but it's called [info]hollyvalance. You can guess what it's about.
(I considered making it Holly's personal livejournal and then of course Holly would be my livejournal lover, but this is slighty less pathetic.

Ignoring everything else, I do find it amsuing that there is a religious leader who likes being called "The Mufti".

We don't have hate crimes!

And as I've said, if I was put in jail for no reason other than wanting a better life for my family and myself, I would burn down my jail too.

What went wrong? [05 Jan 2003|12:08am]
[ mood | sad ]

A few years ago Australia was a wonderful place. And then along came Pauline Hanson spreading her hate around. Just as we were recovering from that along comes this mess that the world is in, and we're right back to the One Nation days.
In the past I may have been critical of Asian Immigration, but as a young politician you'll say anything to get noticed. I know I'm supposed to be a smart man, but all I can think to say is: can we just all be friends?

If I was locked in jail after committing no crime, having no trial and getting no time line for my stay in jail, I would try to burn down the "detention centre" too.

Sometimes good ideas can turn out very badly:
'Let's make some commercials, tell the public they can help in the "War on Terror". They'll feel like they are involved and have some control over the situation.'
...and then I find myself indroducing something that looks like a sketch in a B-grade ABC comedy program.

I see Christmas as a time of reflection.
No one realises the amount of times I have woken up in a cold sweat, terrified. Not wondering whether the things I do are wrong, but knowing that they are.
The things I do, the policies I make; they are all guided by what the public want. I'm sick of leading this country with my head and ignoring my heart. All I can say is we can't treat people like this.
Is this how I want Australians to act, is this what I want Australian children to learn? That people who are different from ourselves are inferior to us. That we can humilate, ignore or hide them anyway without concern for their wellfare? That we can accuse them of horrific crimes (like being terrorists) just because they want a safe place to raise their children, that they want the freedom that all people deserve? That our ancestors can steal land away from its rightful owners, that previous governments can treat these people so shockingly badly, and then we can just sit around and say "well, you're equal now, why aren't you acting like it?"
No, we can't treat people like this.

I'm in between courses now.
Janette sure knows how to cook a good bird.
I've had all the Australia's security on top alert, NO ONE IS SPOLING MY CHRISTMAS.
I believe in Santa. I believed in Santa when I was a child and Santa is for children so I believe in Santa.
I was more than a little upset when I realised who I thought was Santa was just Kim Beasley in a Santa suit.

Hello to all my new friends!!
I'm a bit nervous, I'm not used to having friends. Even George W teases me and he doesn't have a brain in his head.
I know, you're surprised 'why be so buddy-buddy with George W if you think he's so dumb?'. The power, the glory! Now I can say anything I want about our yellow neighbours because I have the strength of the US army on my side. Those Indonesians don't scare me anymore!!!
(ok, I lied, I'm scared stupid of all of them, even Megawati. Atleast I have Samoa and Fiji in our region to feel powerful and superior around).

Fellow Australians,
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
As I've said, this year won't be remembered as the best year in Australian history with the Bali bombings and the drought.
And next year isn't looking like it will be the best with me threatening wars with anyone who will respond to my taunts, and cuddling up with that moron George W.
But lets have a nice day for tommorrow atleast.

Running a country is sure tiring.
Costello rang me to wish me a Merry Christmas. Hmmmp. Amanda Vanstone will have to carry me out in a body bag before that smirking little Costello twerp gets my job.

I am the great and all powerful John Howard Prime Miister of Australia. I am a very little man. I like cricket, spoiling the dreams of refugees, giggling, my lovely wife Janette and my special friend George W.
